COURSE DESCRIPTION

To familiarize the students with the chemical constitution of cellulose, cellulose manufacturing technology and analytical methods

Content: Cellulose chemistry and physics, cellulose derivatives, raw material, dissolution, regeneration, cellulose manufacturing processes, end uses (sponges, films, particles, fibres, additives), innovative materials.

COURSE LITERATURE

Will be distributed during the course.

Previous knowledge on basic organic chemistry.
